Mark Eaton “Big Mark”, “The Wall”, “Man Mountain”, was a 7’ 4” center drafted by the Utah Jazz in 1982. He spent his entire career in Utah and helped transform the Jazz from a last place team into a perennial playoff team in the 12 years he spent there. Becoming one of the best defensive centers in NBA history, he led the league in blocks four times, holds the NBA single-season records for blocks at 456, and when he retired in 1994, he ranked second in NBA career blocks behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The Jazz retired Eaton’s jersey in 1996.
